Tips for Flying Well

The key to flying well is to be organised! I love making a list of everything I need and ticking it off as it goes into my luggage. It ensures you don’t forget everyday essentials, like your toothbrush or underwear (which can be easily forgotten).

Tip 1 - Travel Light

Only take the essentials. I learn something new every time I travel, what was necessary and what I could’ve gone without. I always carry a notebook and pen to jot down what I actually used/needed.

Tip 2 - The Essentials

Be sure to keep your travel essentials with you at all times. I always keep my phone, laptop and a spare change of clothes in my carry on, just in case my checked baggage gets lost.

Tip 3 - Stay Hydrated

Bring an empty water bottle and be sure to fill it once you’re through security. A lack of humidity in the pressurised cabin can leave you feeling awfully dry. Remember to stay hydrated by drinking lots of water and moisturising!

Tip 4 - Rest

Get some rest if you can but remember to bring your own pillow. There’s nothing worse than falling asleep on the airplane window or even worse, the stranger next to you!

Tip 5 - Beauty Bag

I always carry a makeup bag with my beauty essentials. It usually includes:

  • Lip balm
  • Makeup wipes
  • Rosehip oil or moisturiser
  • Blotting paper
  • Eye drops
  • Deodorant & roll on perfume
  • Concealer & pressed powder
  • Hand cream
