This is like the faux-fur/lambswool throws you can get, and very similar to 'Sherpa' pants and coats - I was hoping to replace the fur throw on my bed for frigid winter nights (down to 2°C) as they are a bit small whereas this not only covers the whole bed but also holds a doona/duvet. The construction is basically the same, but you can adjust the warmth with whatever thickness doona you prefer. I am using a light polyfill doona but may switch to a thicker one as winter progresses. It's incredibly warm and snuggly! Before the cool weather arrived I was actually overheating, and last night I kicked off two covers which would normally leave me freezing with just a light doona, but I was perfectly fine in the morning. The only problem I have with it is not wanting to get out of bed any more... Build is okay but not super. Stitching is acceptable (light thread single-stich joins with blanket-stitch hems) but may eventually need reinforcement or repair. Closure is with a single zip which I much prefer over buttons. Overall a fantastic deal and value for money, as well as a cute, plushy and snuggly cover that will add extra warmth without all the bulk of a thicker doona. Highly recommended for cold climates.
