The AUS-8 blade also offers an exceptional balance between toughness, edge sharpness, and corrosion resistance on its own. However, for added protection and longevity, the blade is bonded with Carbonitride Titanium that provides an added layer of resistance to rust and corrosion. Additionally, the bonding makes the blade up to 10x harder than untreated steel, affording superior edge retention across countless cuts.
