The post kit for the retracting clothesline was necessary to be able to hook the line to. It is solid and height adjustable. When purchased with the ground socket that is sold separately the post is easily removable. That allows us to not have it in our view when we have no washing out. It will also extend the life of the post.

Well worth buying this ground socket for the pole for the retracting clothesline. Makes the install very easy. Nice to be able to remove the pole from the ground socket when the line isn't in use. A good decision. Very good product

The retracting clothesline lives up to the wording at sale point. We have a hollow stud wall and had to buy further bracket to install as boxed product had screws appropriate for solid wall as in brick etc. That was easily organised and attaching was successful. Also purchased the pole receiver and post ground socket, easy to put in the ground. Ground socket made that very easy. Pole is now removable and not in our view when we have no washing drying removable, socket looks good so when there is no washing out the pole will not be left in our view.
