Father’s Day is coming up, and if you have Dad’s present all sorted, well done! How are you planning on spending the day with him, though? If you’re stuck for ideas, here are five that are sure to make Dad’s day.
1) Breakfast In Bed
Sure, breakfast in bed may go hand in hand for Mother’s Day, but why just leave it to just one parent? Treat Dad to a relaxing breakfast in bed, and pull out all the stops. Plump up his pillow, make him his favourite breakfast, and let him enjoy himself. You could even let him stay there all day, and pamper him a bit. C’mon, he deserves it!
2) Go Hiking
If you would like to spend some time outdoors this Father’s Day, why not take things outside and go for a hike? This is a great team-building experience, as well as a great way to get some exercise and all bond as a family. Take some outdoor furniture with you, grab a basket and some food, and enjoy a day in the Aussie bush. Just don’t forget to take some insect repellent and comfy hiking shoes with you.
3) Do Something He’s Always Wanted
Is Dad constantly nagging you about places he wants to go with you, but you never have? Well, now’s the perfect opportunity. Also, you’re a terrible child. Whether it be going to the art gallery, going fishing or even just listening to him chat about “the good old days”, let him decide what you’re going to do for the day. It’s his day, remember! If Dad is a bit of a foodie, why not treat him to a Sausage Making Masterclass, hosted by The Common Man, at South Wharf? "Is your Dad a sausage connoisseur? A sausage-making masterclass could be the perfect gift! Dad will learn how to make sausages alongside the head chef, before sitting down to enjoy a gourmet sausage lunch with beer, wine, and a surprise gift. Or opt for something Dad will love a whole lot more than socks and jocks with a sausage making class gift voucher." All scenic flights depart from Sydney Seaplanes’ Rose Bay Terminal, which features a luxurious lounge, a waterside oyster and cocktail bar, a discreet VIP room, and a flying boat museum paying homage to a historical site in Australian aviation. Relax over a bottle of beer whilst doing some seaplanes spotting at the terminal with Dad before hopping onto a Sydney Seaplane for a treat of a lifetime.
