Activities For Home
More than your average Easter Egg Hunt
What’s Easter without a fun egg hunt for your kids? Holding them at home every year means all the old hiding spots are quickly discovered. Get creative this year and design a scavenger hunt for your kids.
If they’re old enough provide clues to the hiding spots. If they’re still young set up a kids sandpit so they can dig in one place for their treasure! Wrap bundles of eggs in cellophane or similar to protect it from the sand or dirt. Bury them near the surface of your sandpit or garden area. Give the kids some plastic shovels and tell them to go for gold. It’s a good idea to place flags near where you’ve buried the eggs so your kids know where to start digging and you know how many eggs remain unfound at the end.
Arts and crafts are a budget-friendly way to give your kids some Easter themed entertainment.

Get organised for a fun day out
Bringing kids along to events is a tricky business. Once they’re tired it can be hard to bring the day back from the brink of tantrums. Don’t get caught out and about without a super stroller. Your younger kids will appreciate a rest off their feet and you’ll be glad to know they’re sitting safe so you don’t have to head home before everyone has had their fill of family fun.

“There are almost 250 Woolworths stores across Queensland and Northern New South Wales, filled with team members passionate about making a difference for sick kids and their families,” says Children’s Hospital Foundation Chief Executive Officer, Rosie Simpson.
Every wall token purchased goes toward funding life-saving research, purchasing vital equipment and providing the highest level of care for children in hospital.
“Childhood illness hurts. It hurts the kids who must endure it and it hurts their families. The Children’s Hospital Foundation relies on the generosity of Woolworths team members and customers to help us continue our life-changing work,” says Ms Simpson.
