We live in a powerful age. In 1948, it was predicted that a wrist-watch transmitter was the future. In 2014, the Apple Watch was released. To be fair, they also predicted flying cars, and we’ve put that one on the backburner. Here are some tech items that may not be flying cars, but they are just as impressive, and who knows, they may change your life.

The Tile App
Losing your keys is a thing of the past with the help of the Tile App. “Tile Pro Series are the brand new premium Bluetooth trackers in the shape of a tiny, stylish keyring and has helped millions of people locate everything from key, cars, phones, bags when out travelling to pets and children. Google Home
This gadget is so easy to use, and it looks pretty swish too. You can ask it questions, like “what’s the weather forecast?” and “Any traffic delays on the M3?”, and you can even get it to do things for you in the home. You can literally use your voice to turn down Netflix and dim the lights, so you can have a chill friday night without even leaving your modern sofa lounge.
Sleeping Apps
Okay, so this isn’t exactly 3D printing or VR, but these apps on your smartphone can really help you hit the hay and improve your sleep health. Some apps on the market can track the stages of sleep you’re in (NREM and REM), as well as record anything you say (just in case you’re curious). While you’re sleeping on your memory foam mattress topper, you can track your sleep patterns, help understand your circadian rhythm and even find ways to improve your sleep. On a lot of smartphones, they now have a setting that reduces the blue light on your screen, which is proven to help you sleep faster and more soundly. If you love sleep as much as I do, check out this article, which can help you fall asleep faster.
PainPod
Pain is a thing of the past, with the help of this Australian born global business PainPod, who have developed drug-free, pain relief technologies that can harness the body’s bioelectrical system to moderate and manage pain levels, accelerate recovery and increase performance. Targeting all levels of pain, the product range targets; chronic or acute pain in the body, nerve pain, rehabilitation, post-injury and surgery recovery, prenatal, labour and postnatal pain, arthritis and more.” Find out more about PainPod by following them on Facebook and Instagram.
The future is daunting, but man, it’s awesome. Whether you’re looking forward to ever losing your keys again or flying cars, technology isn’t slowing down, and we’re not trying to stop it.
