As the world get’s smaller, opportunities to live on the other side of the world become more possible and affordable. Between 2015-2016, 182,165 people moved to live in Australia and an estimated 366,400 people moved interstate. On the 30th June 2016, 28.5% of Australia’s estimated resident population (6.9million people) was born overseas.
That is a huge population living away from friends and loved ones! And the distance doesn’t feel so far when you have emails, FaceTime, Skype and other video conferencing available. However, what can loved ones do when you become unwell in Australia? Other then jump on the next Qantas flight here – they are left to feel helpless and worry.
I know everyone would prefer a friend or family member to look after them when they’re unwell, bringing them fresh Lemon, Honey & Ginger Tea, feeding them homemade chicken soup and popping out to by them their favourite magazine. But if this was not possible – how about the next best thing?
