Dark circles under your eyes can be really hard to conceal. They scream ‘someone didn’t get enough sleep last night!’ and if you’re not the best with makeup your best option is to try and prevent them all together. So here are some tips on how to get rid of dark circles under your eyes.
The first obvious reason for having dark circles under your eyes is sleep, or lack thereof. If you’re not getting enough beauty sleep, then how can you expect to look your best? Lack of sleep is not a good look on ANYONE, so ensure you get into a consistent sleeping schedule. Aim for 8 hours every night, 5 hours minimum to ensure you have a normal functioning body.
Ensure you remove any makeup you have on, before going to sleep. If you’re too tired to do your usual skincare routine, at least grab a face wipe and quickly take off any makeup.
Allergies can cause not only dark circles but also numerous other unsightly symptoms. Usually caused by different seasons such as hay fever. However, if addressed you can reduce or even effectively treat, with prescription medicine.
Try to avoid anything that may flair up your skin. I personally suffer from eczema, so my skin is overly sensitive to perfumes, cleansers even some creams. If you’re experiencing dark circles or puffiness under your eyes, you may have a similar condition or food allergy. This should be addressed promptly, talking to a dermatologist really helped me understand my own personal condition and how to treat it.
You’re diet has an extensive influence on many aspects of your body and life. Eating a well balanced diet, taking your vitamins and drinking plenty of water will help you with your overall health and appearance.
Be sure to include plenty of fruit and veg in your diet and drink at least eight glasses of water a day. Salt causes you to retain water so reduce your salt intake to improve your circulation for overall healthier looking skin!
