There isn’t a homeowner in the world that doesn't want his home to look like it’s straight from the cover of a magazine. Although we all know that it’s impossible to have such a perfect looking home, there is a way to keep it tidy. Most times keeping a home clean boils down to mastering hacks that housewives learn from practice. Although you might not be the most experienced person in housekeeping, which is an extremely tough job, you can implement such tricks to keep things in place and maintain a clean looking house.
How To Keep it Clean
If you want to make your house clean it all comes down to maintaining things on the go. That’s why it all should start from the moment you wake up.
1. Make the bed as soon as you get up.
A nice looking bed can change the feel of a room. Not only that you start doing chores since the moment you get up, making your bed first thing is a great way to wake yourself up. Tomorrow morning go for doing your bed instead of making a cup of coffee.
2. Do the chores around the kitchen while you wait for your coffee
A nice cup of coffee or two before you wake up is a great way to start your morning before getting to work. However, if you are spending two hours drinking this God given beverage it’s too time consuming.
While you wait for the coffee to brew, start doing chores around your kitchen. If you have dishes in the sink then wash them. If your dishwasher is full then empty it. After doing this you’ve already done 60% of your chores.
3. Puff up the pillows
Having puffed up pillows is the best way to make your living room look better. Make a habit that every time you get up from the couch you give them a good fluff.
4. Take out the trash when you get out for work
Smelly trash bags totally ruin the feel of your home. Take the trash out when you get out for work.
5. Make a habit of cleaning the dust every day
A dusty home is not only bad looking but it’s also bad for your help. A great way to keep it dust free is to give the furniture a wipe every day before you go to bed.
6. Don’t walk with your shoes on
A lot of people love to walk with their shoes on in their homes. However, this spreads a lot of germs and dirt all around your house. Instead, take your shoes off at the door. This way you won’t bring any of the outdoor dirt in your home.
7. Clean thoroughly at least once a week
It doesn’t matter how much you try to keep you house clean, you can’t get away without cleaning your house. Give yourself at least one hour a week to vacuum your house and mop the floor. Once a month clean thoroughly.
8. If you have kids clean more often
If you have children once a week is far from enough. They run everywhere and dust is simply all over the air. Make sure to give your house a clean at least twice a week. Also, try to get them into helping you. Having helpers is great for you.
9. Put clothes away
One thing that really sets the mood off is clothes all over the place. Make sure to put away clothes in your closet immediately after you’ve taken them off you. This way both your clothes will stay cleaner and your home will look tidier.
10. Give your kitchen more attention
Because it’s the place we cook in, it’s more likely to get dirtier than most places. Make sure you clean the kitchen after every time you use it for cooking. Cooking may result in little parts of food falling on the ground and then we bring it all around the house.
Having a tidy house can bring happiness into your life. Also, always being on the move means that you’ll lead a healthier life, which is always a plus.
