MyDeal Pro Tip:
Just Be For Five Minutes… Then Make Your Bed
Sometimes it’s important to start the day by just relaxing a little. Before you get out of bed, lie flat on your back and just be. Think about the plans for the day, take a few minutes for your eyes to adjust to the light, stretch and get yourself in the right mindset for the day. After you’ve had your five minutes of being time, don’t forget to make your bed. It’s a simple task, but it will start you off by accomplishing something. Making your bed, according to studies, it can make you feel more accomplished, it boosts your levels of productivity and encourages you to do more tasks throughout the day. There’s also no better feeling than seeing nice, luxurious bed sheets when you come, waiting for you.

“I always wake up early and take time to meditate and centre my thoughts for the day - not only does this place me in a positive and open headspace for the rest of the day but it allows me to think clearly about what I truly need to achieve and declutter my mind of anything that won’t truly benefit myself and my business that day.” Find out more about LUXit by following them on Facebook and Instagram.

Nikki: “To combat the hustle and bustle of each day, we both love a bit of the ‘good' and a bit of the ‘bad'. As soon as I’m up, coffee is a must for me; a latte for a caffeine kick. But I also love my exercise. Getting the blood pumping is great for my system and mental alertness”
Toni: “Yoga three times a week and beach walks are essential, but I love my coffee too - long black!” adds Toni Joel, co-founder of tonic australia. “Over the years, nothing can beat a good coffee. Nikki and I have always found a good balance - we care about what we put in our bodies, but we love our treats; a bit of a ‘naughty’ never hurt us!" MyDeal Pro Tip:
Get Outside And Exercise
More than 60% of the world’s most successful business people keep their fitness levels as a priority in the mornings. Wake up the right way by getting your blood pumping. This could be by heading to the gym, doing some yoga or even taking your dog for a walk. The morning is an ideal time to take your dog for a walk, as you can head outside and wake up with some fresh air, and you can treat your furry pal to a nice excursion as soon as they wake up too. You can walk them around the block, or if you have more time, take them to a park and enjoy some play time with them, with some pet toys from MyDeal.

“Starting the day with a few simple rules can be the difference between mental clarity and overwhelm and exhaustion.
·Don’t look at your phone as the first thing you do when you wake up. Touching your phone other than to turn off the alarm will ultimately result in time wasted straight away, so delay checking in with email, social media or any other app until you are completely ready to start your day.
· Meditate – even if for just 5 minutes, this can have a significant impact on your headspace for the events the day will bring.
· Write a short To Do List of 3 -5 tasks you want to achieve in the day – keeping the list small puts you in the mindset that tasks can be completed. A large list will appear daunting and unachievable and have you despondent before you start.
· Eat a healthy breakfast. Food nourishes the soul and fuels the body, taking time to prepare a good healthy meal to start the day will set you on the right track.
· Be grateful. Whatever the world throws at you someone is doing it harder, take a minute to be thankful for what you have and the knowledge you have the means to achieve something great and make a difference. “If you have nothing else in life you always have choice” Unknown
Choose the day you want to have, set the intention and you have a much better chance of success. If it doesn’t pan out there is always tomorrow where you have a clean slate to try again. Have no plan and there is room for chaos and lack of accomplishment.” Find out more about Finer Details by following them on Facebook.

“My morning ritual is designed to help me both relax and focus on what I need to achieve that day… Typically I get up early and go for a 30/45-minute mindful-walk where I just let myself relax and the allow the brain to process its ’to-do’ list’ without really latching on any specific task. Once home the day gets a little crazy as I “push” my children out of bed and off to school, as much as I stress over that I try to make it a time of laughter and love so we all can start the day right. Then before heading to the office it is me time where I capitalise on the morning walk and sit with a coffee in one of my preferred cafes to mud-map out my day using an old style pencil and notebook. I find by taking the time earlier in the morning just walking, my sub-conscious brain tends to help me order the tasks that need achieving during the day.” Find out more about Shane Warren by following him on Facebook and Instagram.
MyDeal Pro Tip:
Complete Your Hardest Tasks First
Similar to what your parents probably told you when you were doing your homework, it’s better to get the harder questions out of the way, so you can enjoy doing the easier ones; a somewhat reward for your hard work. Same goes with your tasks during the day. In the morning, whether you’re at the office or at home, get the hardest tasks out of the way first. This way you can spend the rest of your day relaxed, knowing that the most stressful and time-consuming task is out of the day, giving you time to focus on the more enjoyable tasks.
The most successful people will plan their mornings, stick to regular schedules and make sure they’re taking care of themselves. Keep your diet right, set goals and make sure you keep yourself healthy.
