1. Please format the memory card before using a trail camera. We suggest an SDHC card with class 6 or above for a better record and playback review.
2. Please remove the protective foil from the camera lens for not affecting the camera effect.
3. please adjust a longer interval times if you do not want too many motion pictures.

This camera is objectively great. The IR sensor let's it detect deer you can barely see in the pictures it takes because it's just that good at sensing, and you can control quality, burst shots, video length, and interval length to capture more or less on camera depending on your storage capacity and power conservation needs. My only word of caution is the "wi-fi" claim is a bit misleading. If you're thinking this can link to a home wi-fi network, it can't. It just uses wifi bands of data transmission to transfer pics and video faster and a little bit farther than on Bluetooth. The device uses Bluetooth and *some* band of wi-fi for communicate with the app (my phone shows 4G, which it might be given it's speed, or it could be that it's an older band like 3g or 2g and my phone just doesn't recognize it as such), but the power and range is understandably small (higher power means more battery consumption). If this thing could connect to your home wi-fi network and/or the app could send push notifications of detection to your phone, it would be completely flawless. I was hoping it might do that as I bow-hunt from my house where I have wi-fi coverage and bought it as a way to monitor my kill zone without being tied to the window. That ain't gonna happen, but I'm still pleased with my purchase just for the quality of monitoring I've already gotten. The feature settings and functionality are delightfully good and the pics and video quality is as good or better than your typical high end smart phone or non professional digital camera. Settings for time lapse make it good for nature photography, too. I was tempted to buy another one just to take a picture of my house a day for a year. A last word of caution - don't bother buying rechargeable batteries unless the are 1.5v. this has nothing to do with the camera, but I've learned that most rechargeable "AA" batteries actually contain 1.2v rather than 1.5v of power. Performance on 1.2v batteries can be poor or it may not even turn on. You totally can use rechargeable batteries with it, just make sure they are 1.5v and preferably lithium if you're shooting some place cold.

I actually use this as a security camera for my barn where I have no electricity. Great picture and video quality and very easy to set up the phone app.
