One of the finest single malt scotch whisky from Bruichladdich which is made in the UK. Using only Islay from Dunlossit, Sunderland, Cruach, Strachmill, Rockside, IslandFarm, Coull, and Mulindry. For at least 8 years, it was aged in 75 percent first-fill American oak ex-bourbon casks and 25 percent second-fill ex-wine casks. The color of Bruichladdich Islay Barley Unpeated Single Malt Scotch Whisky 2012 is pale straw. The structure and mouthfeel of a young whisky are testaments to the slow, careful distillation and the high quality of Islay-grown barley. The smoothness conveys the fruit, cereal, and wood notes in succession as the flavors develop and deepen on the palate, making it refined and complex. It has a medium finish with notes of spice and oak, as well as a mellow sweetness.
