Canadian Club Original Whisky 1L is a Canadian whisky that has been produced since 1858. The company that produces it, Hiram Walker & Sons Ltd., is based in Windsor, Ontario. It is the oldest continuously produced Canadian whisky brand.
The recipe for Canadian Club Original Whisky 1L was developed by Hiram Walker, who began producing it in his Detroit distillery in 1858. It was originally known as "Hiram Walker's Club Whiskey". The name was changed to "Canadian Club" in 1884, after the passage of the Canada Temperance Act prohibited the sale of alcohol in Canada.
Canadian Club Original Whisky 1L is made from a blend of corn, rye and wheat. It is aged for a minimum of three years in oak barrels, it delivers a light amber color and a mild, sweet flavor with hints of vanilla and fruit. It is best enjoyed neat or on the rocks.
