This is the only 4G phone I could find which has no browser, no internet apps and no email. Most features of the CAT B40 are exactly as advertised. Its 18 millimetre thickness makes it difficult to find a suitable horizontal belt pouch. The belt-pouch I found that works is the AccessoryHappy military grade nylon cell phone belt holder from the USA. Sound quality for calls is not the best really. That's a weak point, but this could be caused by the VoLTE connections offered by Optus. The FM radio has excellent sound, but its channels are clumsy to program. The safety lock of the keys does not work as advertised on page 22 of the user manual. I can't lock the keypad with a password. The torch light is very bright, even in daytime. Battery time in standby is good, about 5 or 6 days. The outer edges of the phone are so touch that my engraver doesn't even leave a mark. The USB socket is USB-C, not the typical connector of a few years ago. The USB file transfer works well with linux. The keypad is susceptible to errors. So you have to type carefully. If you import contacts from a SIM, it gives you duplicates in the Contacts list. So don't do that. Otherwise the phone is excellent.
