About Our Cattle Prodder
A very handy prodder with a high power output of up to 9000V! Perfect to have on hand when moving cattle as it is lightweight, efficient, effective, safe and humane too.
Note: The amperage is something we are not supplied with from the manufacturers but the voltage instead. It is hard to test the exact amperage from a prodder, but it is known they have a high voltage output and very low amps which is similar to that of an electric fence. Anything that touches the electric current from a prodder receives a high-voltage, low current shock which is not enough to cause serious harm or death but a fairly painful shock.
For best results, follow these important rules:
  • This device is designed for use on Livestock only!
  • Keep the unit away from children
  • Never use the prodder on humans
  • Use in a well ventilated area. Do not use near flammable material and liquids or near domestic animals.
  • Clean, dry and store in a dry environment. Always remove batteries prior to cleaning or drying.
  • After use always switch to “OFF” position
  • Always use a shaft long enough to maintain a safe working distance.
  • Intended for ground level use only
