A rare offering from Glenmorangie’s Legends Series, which celebrates the distillery’s local history. This whisky takes its name from the Cadboll Cup - a silver goblet used by the Macleod Clan (who lived in the area surrounding Glenmorangie) for drinking wine. This object has inspired the whisky’s name, and its maturation, with the dram finished in French oak Muscat and Semillon wine casks. Glenmorangie is one of Scotland's foremost distilleries, and for a time, was the most popular single malt whisky in Scotland – and the Scots know a thing or two about a good dram!The very tall stills at Glenmorangie are said to help create its light and typical floral malt spirit, perfectly illustrated by this whisky, which complements the traditional Glenmo' style with fruity, rich wine casks.This is juice that honours place and history, whilst appealing to modern palates.
