GPO ROTARY DIAL RETRO 200 TELEPHONE
Back in yesteryear, Great Britain’s General Post Office (GPO) carried the sole responsibility of equipping everyone with their very own telephone. This particular model, the 200, one of their crowning glories and was used from 1934 all the way up to 1957. Quite a feat when today our mobile phones barely last a year before they’re superseded by something newer and shinier.
While the original GPO may have been dissolved in the late 60s, some vintage loving lads from Manchester have re-imagined their old classic designs in our modern world. This 200 model is one of their favourite pieces and it’s easy to see why. Remember the fun of rotary dialling? So much more entertaining than jabbing at some button. Its genuine and melodic “Ring!” will be music to your ears compared to the nasty digital ear rash you get bombarded with nowadays. So treat your home to some classic British culture and turn making a phone call into an event, not a chore.
