When I was in primary school, one of the biggest highlights of my day was coming home and switching on the big tube tv and watching the latest episode of Monkey. If you are not familiar, Monkey was a TV Series which was initially released back in 1981 and released by the ABC Australian Network. The show was incredibly fun, and I still remember playing fighting like Monkey with my old brothers while quoting many one-liners from the series. Before Monkey was ever born into the world, chaos reigned. Heaven sought order. Thankfully, Monkey was born from elements including being born of time, heaven and earth, sun, and moon and out of a stone egg. While travelling and fighting around the world, Monkey is shortly joined by Sandy, a fish-spirit, Pigsy, a man who gets kicked out of heaven and a priest named Tripitaka. Naturally, this series is a fantasy series. In the present day, it is no secret that some of the visuals might seem more humorous or far-fetched while watching. But when this series was released, the effects and visuals were quite impressive for its time and even as a young child, each episode had left me feeling impressed at the creativity. Other elements such as costuming is tremendous, and even the film title track is incredibly catchy and fun. Thanks to Umbrella Entertainment, Monkey The Complete Series has been re-released on Blu-ray and DVD! The release also includes all fifty-two episodes which have been completely restored with a new audio track and stunning visuals which made the series feel completely new. Overall, as a childhood fan, it is evident that I would recommend this series to all! But this series is truly unlike anything I have ever seen, and each episode is never the same. The show is loaded as well with special features as well, with episode booklets are included as well. There is also a DVD version available for those looking for a DVD copy of the show as well. ?e?aMonkey ?e?A The Complete Series?e?a?i is one of the best Blu-Ray releases of 2020 with all 52 episodes restored on Blu-Ray, looking fantastic.
