Introducing the innovative new electric adjustable knife sharpeners from KitchenIQ™. Designed in the USA by Smith’s a leader in sharpening for over 127 years. KitchenIQ™ developed these sharpeners to fill the need of sharpening a knife back to its original sharpening angle. Why sharpen a knife to its original angle? It’s important to do so, to prolong the life of the knife by removing less metal, while creating an extremely sharp edge.
Easy to turn knob automatically adjust both the coarse and fine interlocking wheels to the correct sharpening angle to match the angle produced originally from the knife manufacturer. The Angle Adjust knob is marked with angles that range from 10 to 30 degrees for easy and efficient sharpening of a wide variety of knives. These are degrees per side of the knife edge. The common angles for European Style or Asian Styles knives are clearly marked on this oversized knob.
This electric knife sharpener includes two electric sharpening slots with interlocking diamond wheels in the coarse slot and interlocking ceramic wheels in the fine slot. Interlocking wheels sharpen both sides of the knife at the same time without scratching or damaging the knife when used properly. The sharpener also includes a manual slot designed to sharpen most styles of serrated knives. Sturdy cast aluminum frame with soft touch accents and non slip bottom offer additional safety and stability when sharpening.
