Blended together Devil’s Claw, White Willow, Arnica and Rue for effective pain and anti-inflammatory relief.
Horse owners and Trainers are all well aware that horses are prone to accidents and sickness and with this seem to follow the expensive vet bills.
Also well-known is the effect that vet- prescribed painkillers can have on the liver, especially if the horse is administered these for prolonged periods of time.
There is now a more natural option to administer pain relief for the horses.
Nowadays we have access to certain herbs with superior pain relief properties, specifically Devil’s Claw and White Willow.
Devil’s Claw also known as “Nature’s Bute”, is well known for its ability to provide fast, powerful and reliable pain relief as well as anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic benefits.
Its action is said to be comparable to cortisone and phenylbutazone. Devil’s Claw has been used to treat cases of arthritis, tendon and ligament damage, navicular and joint injury, where pain and inflammation need to be alleviated.
It also has the ability to cleanse deep into tissue and muscle walls, and it supports liver function.
White Willow yields salicylic acid, the precursor to aspirin, adding still more anti-inflammatory and analgesic qualities to this blend. The effects of willow bark are the same as aspirin but to a lesser degree. Thus willow, often called “nature’s aspirin” can be used to treat fevers and all types of body pain. Long used medicine for arthritic pain and inflammation.
Arnica Montana works on horses by dispersing trapped fluids from bruised tissue and stimulating the activity of the white blood cells.
The active ingredients in Arnica are sesquiterpene lactones. These are known to reduce inflammation and pain.
Ruta Graveolens contains compounds which ease muscle spasms and coughing as well as Rutin which improves the strength and flexibility of blood vessels.
Ruta Graveolens is frequently used to provide relief from the pains as well as stiffness in the legs and joints.
