The SSCX (Singlespeed Cyclocross) is built around a durable custom 4130 cromoly frame and fork with tough and lightweight kit to match. Whether you're commuting, exploring or cyclocross racing - the SSCX is made to be ridden hard. The cyclocross inspired geometry mixed with a tight rear centre results in a comfortable, fun and nimble ride. Planning a longer spin? The generous fork and headtube lengths give a comfortable bar height for more smiles over more miles.
When you've only got one gear it needs to be right. We've chosen a 42/17T ratio as a proven all-rounder mix for commuting and off-road riding that won't leave you spinning out on the flat. The new SSCX runs Alex DC19 double walled rims with stainless steel spokes laced to durable alloy flip/flop hubs (so you can run fixed if you like). Continental Cyclocross Race tyres (35c) offer the perfect balance of traction and fast rolling over a wide range of surfaces from tarmac to hard packed dirt, gravel and mud. As a true all-rounder the frame includes rear rack mounts, integrated chain tensioners and extra wide tyre clearance (you can go as wide as 40mm). Also powerful Tektro CR710 Cyclocross specific brakes coupled with RL340 levers provide controlled, powerful braking to inspire confidence - even in muddy conditions.
