Originally designed by Poul Henningsen in 1958, the high luster artichoke pendant lamp is science in concept and art in expression. The 72 leaves shield the light source, and reflect and redirect its luminance on the underlying leaves, creating a 360-degree glare free, incandescent lighting. The name Poul Henningsen is only used to describe the characteristics of the goods made to the original design, and not as a trade mark.
