This handy tool from Savannah enables you to flatten meat or poultry with ease but also can be used to crush garlic. The double-sided disc is smooth on one side and coarse on the other.
The pounder disc is reversible and easily screws on or off.
Pounders are weighted to allow gravity to do most of the work for you.
One side is smooth for flattening meat and poultry, but can also be used for crushing whole cloves of garlic, coarse salt breadcrumbs, cracking shellfish and so on.
The coarse side has teeth for tenderising meat and can be used gently to infuse foods with seasoning flavours and improve crumbing results. It is also great for crushing nuts. Large surface area and close pounding accuracy afford the perfect result every time.
