The core of the Schecter E-1 FR S Special Edition electric guitar is the mahogany, maple, and ebony set-neck design that has found a home with countless rock and metal guitarists worldwide. The tonewood combination offers a sound that has plenty of warmth and bark, but the maple delivers long sustain and a quick attack. Just kick in the sustain circuit, play a note or chord, and let the electromagnetic feedback carry your sound as long as desired. And a 3-way switch lets you choose between fundamental, mix, and harmonic-type sustain.
We guitarists found nothing but sonic intensity from the Apocalypse humbucker onboard the E-1 FR S Special Edition. Alnico magnets deliver a fast, aggressive sound with plenty of richness. The alnicos are flanked by ceramic magnets for top-end presence and articulation.
