Details: A beautiful tree swing made from sustainably sourced (FCS certified) solid oak. Complete with two 5m lengths of poly-hemp rope which is silky soft to the touch and will not warp, contract or rot when wet. The rope is spliced on one end and passed through the holes in the swing and tied with a figure of eight knot. This means the seat can be removed from the ropes during the winter if required. Perfect for hanging from your favourite tree - the kids (or the big kid in you) will love it :o) The wood is green oak - meaning it has not been dried out (seasoned) and so still retains a lot of its natural moisture. This is perfect for an outdoor swing as the drying process will take place in-situ. A seasoned piece of wood left out in the rain will twist and crack very quickly, which can cause problems! The wood is finished with a coating of teak oil, letting the wood breath and weather slowly - gently twisting, cracking and settling to become a unique and beautiful addition to your garden and your childrens' childhood. Due to the nature of the materials used each oak swing will differ in terms of grain pattern and colour.
