This wooden pneumatic IQ mechanical toy is a small but fully functional example of a steam engine, except that it uses air pressure instead of steam to set it in motion. This model includes a built in air pressure gauge and two compartments for storage and spare parts, and is able to generate enough force by squeezing the balloon (not included) or blowing into the opening, to spin the wheels. Be a part of the once great era of steam with just a breath of air!
The model is easy to assemble if the instructional manual is followed closely and the time of putting this finely cut wood together is very short.
The UGEARS Pneumatic Engine may be small, but is definitely mighty, giving a sneak peek inside a functioning steam engine. The model Pneumatic Engine comes to life by either having the user blow into a special socket, or by using an ordinary air balloon. All the parts move as if they were inside a real steam engine, the amazing thing is – it’s built entirely out of plywood! The Pneumatic Engine comes with its own, built in air pressure tachometer, and two small compartments for storing ‘spare parts’.
Once constructed use an ordinary inflated balloon or blow into the special socket to watch the pistons and gears chug, chug, chug along just like the locomotive engines of days gone by.
