This stand alone renewable energy package uses the tried & proven Victron 4.5kW Inverter Charger & 100A MPPT Solar charge controller, coupled with 18x 280w A Grade CEC approved bushfire rated solar panels & 24x German made Sonnenschein 2v Tubular GEL EPzV Deep Cycle Battery bank 39kWh total @ 100h.

Peace of mind is an important facet when living off grid. The Victron inverter charger & solar controller are covered by an outstanding 5 year replacement or repair warranty.

On average, there will be 20kW-hours of power available from the solar array per day – based on 4.5hrs of effective sunshine per day. More sunshine = more power. Your daily energy usage will be quickly replenished. This large solar PV design principle reduces the amount of time the batteries will be low on charge, which maximises their life expectancy & provides far more reliable power.

Overnight or during badly overcast weather, the battery reserve capacity will give the following power from full charge down to 50%:

• 16.8kW-hours for one day, or
• 9kW-hours per day for two days, or
• 6.2kW-hours per day for three days, or
• 4.9kW-hours per day for four days

The solar array can then recharge the battery bank from 50% flat in around 5.5 hours of effective sunshine, depending on any loads running on the system at the same time. A generator can be used to recharge the battery bank and run loads through the inverter too.

Detailed system information such as power harvest, usage history & current status is displayed on the intuitive Colour Control GX panel. When connected to the internet, all this live information can be viewed on your phone or a PC from anywhere in the world!

These sealed Sonnenschein Tubular GEL EPzV batteries have an exceptional cycle life of around 2500 cycles to 50% discharged. The batteries can last up to 20 years, if discharged to 50% every three days at worst and kept insulated from temperature highs and lows.

Create an Off Grid power system. Power will be supplied primarily from the solar panels & battery bank. If there is insufficient power, the inverter can make use of a petrol or diesel powered generator to recharge the batteries & run the household loads. The system can start the generator automatically providing the generator is compatible with two wire starting – some ATS systems are also compatible with two wire start.

Please note this system will not feed energy back into the grid! Instead, all your solar energy harvest is used by your household with solar priority mode. The inverter can also charge the battery bank from AC power if there has not been enough sunny days. In AC priority mode, the inverter will supply pure sine wave power from the AC input, & switch over to solar / battery power in the event of an AC input power failure.

Besides the front LCD, this inverter charger can be connected to a computer (software & cable included) to get detailed information about your energy harvest, battery sate & power usage. Settings can also be adjusted via either the LCD or the Software from a PC.

Warranty Information

Solar panels feature a 25 year – 80% pro-rata warranty, inverter/ charge controller has a full 5 year warranty, TAB Batteries have a 3 year full warranty + 4 years pro rata. All other items come with a minimum 12 month warranty.
