SUGGESTED MAXIMUM DAILY FEEDING RATE FOR OATS USED AS A COMPONENT OF A COMPLETE DIET.*

• HORSES: 500 grams per 100kg of body weight.
• CATTLE: 500 grams per 100kg of body weight.
• SHEEP: 50 grams per 10kg of body weight.
• POULTRY: Up to 20% of total daily ration for young and growing birds and up to 40% of total daily ration for adult laying hens.
• PIGS: Up to 20% of the total daily ration in creep and weaner feeds, up to 40% of total daily ration in grower, finisher and breeder feeds.

*NOTES TO FEEDING RATE
The recommendations provided are intended as a guide only. The amount fed will vary according to the individual animals condition. Feed oats should be crushed or steam flaked for feeding to horses and cattle. Whole or crushed oats can be fed to sheep. Oats should be ground more finely for feeding to poultry and pigs. Finely ground oats should not be fed to horses, sheep or cattle. With horses, cattle and sheep ensure that new feed materials are introduced into the diet gradually building up to the full daily allowance over a period of one to two weeks. Ensure that horses, cattle and sheep receive adequate roughage in addition to this supplement.
