I like the idea of this kettle. It has a nice look about it and the blue light when switched to on looks great. I personally use the filter, so I can only get two cups of tea or coffee at any one time. It does not take too long for the water to filter through the filter. Maybe twice or less you have to fill the filter area up with water to get the two cups to boil. I have a regular small size water filter jug already that I use to fill this kettle up. You do not have to use the filter which comes with this kettle, so then you can get four cups instead of two cups. The filter reduces scale and heavy metals in the water that you will boil. So I leave the filter in the kettle. I have used the kettle for less than a week now, but all is well and nothing has gone wrong. Just make sure you read and follow the instructions and all is well. I have taken a photo of my kettle in the dark turned on.
