12'' Bedourie Camp Oven

The 12'' Bedourie Camp Oven is manufactured in Australia from spun steel and comes with a lid that fits over the top. This Australian quality Bedourie oven is a much lighter option compared to a cast iron camp oven, cooks the same but is not as fragile. Bedourie camp ovens can still be used to make all your favourite camping dishes including damper, stews, roasts and stir-fries. The lid can also double up as a frying pan when you turn it over.

Make sure you season your Bedourie camp oven before you use it.

Dr.Livingstone’s Bedourie ovens were originally made for the Bedourie Station. This station found that when the cast iron camp ovens fell off packed horses or were dropped, they often broke, so they invented the Bedourie which would not break. To keep the heat in you need to half bury the Bedourie in hot ashes with some coals added to the lid and it would cook just as well as the cast iron camp ovens, The Bedourie has one more advantage over the cast iron camp oven, in that the lid fits down over the oven so there is no chance of ashes getting into the oven when you half bury it. Camping food tastes great when made in the Bedourie!

The product warranty becomes void if the product shows evidence of being dropped, exposed to the elements, tampering, mishandling or mis-use such as excessive fire or a motor not being counter-weighted. Stainless steel is not immune to rusting/pitting and is therefore not covered under warranty.

Charcoal pans inside spit roasters are designed to take the brunt of the heat to protect the structural integrity of the spit roaster body. Due to the extreme heat generated when cooking with briquettes/charcoal, some bending of the pan is inevitable and will occur regardless of the thickness of the steel. This is not covered under warranty.

All BBQ Spit Rotisseries' products have been tested and deemed suitable for domestic use only. Using these products commercially voids the warranty. The warranty does not cover postal cost, insurance, incidental charges or any other loss incurred.
