Very strong magnets and holds a lot of knives and even scissors. Looks very stylish.

I purchased the knife block to give as a gift, so a little disappointed that it doesn't come in a proper box so had to print out a picture and stuck it to the box but I suppose that's why it's good value for money. Happy with how it looks though.
