Platypus lo-stretch is a monofilament that has such low stretch it thinks it's a braid.

The advantage of braid is the incredible sensitivity you get from near zero stretch
Platypus Lo-Stretch has the lowest stretch possible from a monofilament
By captialising on new raw material blends and state of the art manufacturing processes we are able to bring you this exceptional line
Much has been written about the advantages of Braid and most of it is true, but we often forget that monofilament has its place in fishing as well

Some points to consider:

Some stretch is good, braid has almost no stretch which makes the line incredibly sensitive, but can result in pulled hooks and lost fish
Platypus Lo-Stretch gives you the best of both worlds - enough stretch to allow a slight shock absorbing quality with minimum stretch for maximum sensitivity.

All braided lines have worse knot strength than monofilament, and knots for braids typically require more turns and wraps than regular knots
Good knots tied with Platypus Lo-Stretch give 100% knot strength, excellent knots tied in braid give 85% knot strength

Shipping Details

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

We use Australia Post for most orders - all parcels are sent with a tracking number for peace of mind.
Bulky items and fishing rods over 1200mm are sent via a courier service*.
*Motors, rods over 1200mm and bulky parcels cannot be sent to a PO Box or office building due to the package size. Recipients must be present to sign for the consignment. Some postcodes may not be covered by our courier company, if in doubt please contact us.

Please note: As we use Australia Post to deliver most of our parcels, Australia Post will require a signature from an occupant at the specified delivery address at the time of delivery, if no one is available to sign for the parcel a card will be left and the parcel re-directed to the nearest Post Office.

You will then be responsible for collecting the parcel from the Post Office. Please ensure your address details are correct as Hooked Online will not be responsible or liable for redelivery costs.

Hooked Online strongly recommends all deliveries be shipped to an address that is attended during business hours, to minimize the chance of any redelivery, delays and/or fees.

Delivery Timeframe is 5 - 10 Business Days

Change of Mind
We accept all change of mind returns as long as :

- It is lodged within 30 days of delivery
- It is in its original packaging, including instruction manuals and all accessories
- The box/packaging is unworn, unopened, unused and in its original condition
- Any sewn-in/attached labels are still attached
Do bear in mind that all postage charges are the responsibility of the customer.

The product is damaged or not working properly. What do I do?
Occasionally, the product you receive may have been damaged in transit, is not working properly, or may have a missing part. When that happens, please contact our customer service team via your MyDeal account. We will pay for the postage of the broken item back to us for repair. If it cannot be repaired, we will send you a brand new replacement. You will need to call us first to arrange a reply paid label to ensure the safe return of your item.

The product isn't the same as what was shown on the website. What do I do?
In rare circumstances, product descriptions may be slightly inaccurate due to new models being released or features being added or removed. If you receive a product from us that is not as described on the website, we will gladly accept your return. We pay for postage of the product back to us and can offer you a full refund or store credit.
