What is Activated Charcoal?
Activated Charcoal Powder is the world’s oldest detoxifying remedy. It’s used in thousands of applications primarily to adsorb unwanted chemicals so that they can be neutralized or removed completely.

Naturally Whitens Teeth
• Wet your toothbrush and dip the bristles into the Activated Charcoal Powder
• Brush your teeth as you normally would, paying special attention to areas with the most staining
• Sip water and swish through your mouth thoroughly and spit. Rinse well, until your saliva is clear
• For best results, brush your teeth with activated charcoal two or three times per week.

If you have crowns, caps or porcelain veneers, it’s possible that activated charcoal will stain them. In addition, if your teeth become sensitive, quit using it.

Skin and Body Health
To make a clarifying face mask, add a teaspoon of powdered activated charcoal to warm or lukewarm water, until a paste is formed. Add a teaspoon of honey or aloe gel and apply a thin layer of the mixture to your face. Rinse after 5 to 10 minutes. To add a detoxifying element to shampoo, add a teaspoon of activated charcoal to the regular amount of shampoo you use; wash and rinse as usual. For light hair, an extra rinse will remove any discolouration from the charcoal.

To treat bites from snakes and spiders, including the Brown Recluse or Black Widow, you want to cover a larger area than just a small bandage, as the bacteria and viruses that lead to tissue damage need to be mitigated quickly. Create a wrap out of fabric that’s big enough to go around the affected area twice. Dab the mixture of coconut oil and activated charcoal on the fabric, and wrap. Secure with bandages. Reapply every two to three hours, rinsing well between applications.

A study in the American Journal of Gastroenterology found that Activated Charcoal Powder prevents intestinal gas following a typical gas-producing meal.

Dosing recommendations to alleviate gas and bloating: Take 500 milligrams one hour prior to a typical gas-producing meal, with a full glass of water. Adults take 25 grams at onset of symptoms or when food poisoning is suspected, and children should be given 10 grams. Increase dosage as necessary. Recommended Dosage
Richard C. Kaufman, BS, MS, PhD, (Bio-nutritional Chemistry from the University of Brussels) recommends to use Activated Charcoal Powder on two consecutive days each week. Take a total of 20 to 35 grams each day divided into two or three doses. Take in the morning, at midday and before bed on an empty stomach.
