Sporting an unprecendent-for-the-sector set of four separate ES9018C2M DAC chips in a matched array, the R4 has indubitable fidelity in digital-analog conversion, yielding higher resolution and wider dynamic range from any source file, bringing smoother, purer sound.  Supporting native playback of DSD up to 256 and PCM up to 32bit/768kHz.

PCM / DSD dual customized conversion pathways

Separate conversion pathways for PCM and DSD conversion realized for the first time in portable DAPs;  separate individually configured / designed DAC chips, LPF and power supplies for PCM and DSD conversion.

Device firmware automatically routes PCM and DSD each to their dedicated pathways.  DSD channel more effectively rejects high ultrasonic noise, bringing substantially better listening experience for DSD.

Utilizing widely acclaimed class-A amplification throughout, the amplifier is composed of four OPA1652, 2 OPA1612 and 16 triodes, and has zero crossover distortion for instant transient response;  output scales up to 525mW/32Ω, and distortion can be as little as 0.0005%, yielding a fine sense of power from music as well as exquisite detail.
