The Baccarat® iD3® SAMURAI™ Cleaver 17.5cm has been engineered and weighted to make heavy chopping easier. A cleaver can take on heavier root vegetables with more force than a chefs knife or santoku knife. Aside from breaking down tendons and bones, cleavers can also be used for pounding, mincing, dicing, and slicing a variety of foods. BRAND CREDENTIALS Baccarat® iD3® SAMURAI™ knives are crafted from the finest Japanese Steel 420J2. The Japanese Steel blade construction has been inspired by century old manufacturing techniques favoured by traditional Japanese craftsman and Samurai sword makers to create a super sharp cutting edge which holds a greater edge retention. The blades are ice-hardened ensuring superior blade strength and durability. The iD3® Japanese Steel has been mined in the same Japanese region of Chuo-Ku Chiba since the middle of the last century. Each knife in the iD3® range has been engineered and tested to meet Rockwell 53 specification guaranteeing the blades hardness, and optimum performance. The Baccarat® iD3® SAMURAI™ features iD® MicroDot™ Technology non-stick blades. Modelled on an ancient and traditional hammered tsuchime finish, this unique non-stick blade feature assists with food separation from the knife and reduces adhesion of food to the knife blade. This clever innovation works by reducing the blade contact surface to the food item meaning less sticking. They make for an extremely fast and agile chopping and slicing experience, perfect for precision cuts. Every curve and line has been designed for precise performance without bruising or tearing delicate foods.
