Black Aoud by Montale is a Woody Floral Musk fragrance for men. Black Aoud was launched in 2006. The nose behind this fragrance is Pierre Montale. Black Aoud is a dramatic fragrance – but don't confuse that with overly strong. It's medium bodied and very rich, a bubbling potion of velvety rose and the old leather feel of labdanum, mixed with mystical oud tree oils. It's a rare journey somewhere where you've probably never been and will beg to return to… all it takes is a little whiff of this amazing, rare elixir. If you seek a deeply incensed rose and sandalwood fragrance, one that would have scented the brightly dyed pillows of a harem, you need look no further. The perfume house of Parfums Montale was founded by Pierre Montale in 2003 in Paris. Pierre Montale spent some time in Saudi Arabia prior to that, where he created perfumes for nobility, kings and queens. When he returned to Paris, the perfumer introduced his amazing oriental creations to the Western world. The mysterious East, Arabia and the perfumer's love for them can be found in each bottle of the Montale collection. Montale creates his fragrances from natural materials of high-quality, in large concentration, which makes the fragrances very intense and long-lasting. The aluminum bottle was specially created to protect the precious essences from light. Montale creates men's, women's and unisex fragrances, the main components of which are precious varieties of trees, such as incense, aoud (agarwood), cedar, sandalwood and many other materials used by Arabian perfumers. A special place in his collection belongs to perfumes created of aoud or agarwood. Oud Pafums Montale is the first French line of perfumes dedicated to aoud, a royal ingredient in the real sense of this word, and considered an aphrodisiac in East. Aoud is an aromatic resin—oleoresin (other names are: aggor, agarwood, eagleswood, aloeswood, in Arabian: oud or oudh). Oleoresin is the product of an immunogical reaction of the Aquillaria tree to the Phialophora parasitica mold. When the tree is infected, it produces this precious, dark, aromatic resin in the heart of its trunk. Oud and its extracts are very expensive. Its value is estimated as being 1.5 more expensive than gold, so it is also called "liquid gold" or "the wood of gods." Please choose wisely as refunds for receiving what you purchased but simply changed your mind, found the product cheaper somewhere else, or decided you didn't like the purchase or had no use for it will not be refunded.

Exchanges can be organised within 20 days of receiving the item, but all shipping costs and price differences must be covered by the customer. Under the Australian Consumer law, you may have the right to return/exchange an item if you believe the item to be faulty. This right is not limited by a defined time frame.

When exchanging items, replacement items will be dispatched once original items are received back by The Perfume Warehouse. Items must be in original condition, including but not limited to all plastic seals and wrappers, labels, stickers, etc. for item to be exchanged. Once a perfume has been opened and/or sprayed all returns are strictly prohibited.

If you believe you have been sent an incorrect item, contact The Perfume Warehouse and they will rectify any possible mistakes. Do not, under any circumstances break the plastic seal or spray a perfume you believe to be the incorrect item. If this occurs, The Perfume Warehouse are unable to accept the return for health and safety reasons.

All items are dispatched unused, undamaged and in original condition. If there are any aesthetic imperfections on your item before being sent, you will be contacted by staff prior to dispatch.

If item has been broken during delivery, please keep all packaging, including the packaging it was sent in. The Perfume Warehouse will require images of the broken item and the relevant packaging. We may require you to take the entirety of the parcel, including what it was sent and wrapped in, to a post office for further inspection.

In the case that an item is faulty, The Perfume Warehouse may deem it necessary to send the item back to the manufacturer or their service agent for an assessment; this will be done promptly within a reasonable period. In this case, if the item is deemed faulty by the manufacturer you may then be given a refund or exchange, depending on the situation and judgement of The Perfume Warehouse.

If the item is damaged through misuse or abnormal use of the product, as defined by The Perfume Warehouse we will not provide a refund or exchange.

If The Perfume Warehouse finds that the product does not have a problem once sent back, we charge a 20% fee for collection and inspection costs. This will be made known to you before you ship the product.
