Founded in 1960 by 20 local farmers, Cantina Tollo has since become a leading winery that preserves the ancient winemaking tradition of the area, benefiting from an ideal microclimate created by mild sea breezes and cool currents from the Maiella mountain.
This Sangiovese is sourced exclusively from hillside vineyards in Tollo, Giuliano Teatino, and Ortona, where the cool climate and varied soil types contribute to the wine\'s depth and complexity. The fruit undergoes controlled maceration for 7-8 days at low temperatures to ensure optimal extraction of color and flavor. After fermentation, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks for 3 months, with a further refinement in barriques to add complexity.
