The Extra-Large faced G-Shock now shines with the GA110RG series! With the 110RG, Casio decided to improve on the original, and gave its customers more visual choices. In the GA-110RG-1A, you have the basic Matte Black band, with a rose gold trim in the display, enhancing the visuals. With the look of the GA110 being more metallic, one of the obvious dangers was what would happen, if the watch was in a place with strong electromagnetic waves. If this were any other watch, the result would be a watch that wouldn't be able to keep time for long (let's face it, magnetic waves are all around us).
As mentioned, Casio was more than up to the challenge, and its new GA110 series features magnetic resistance to avoid these hassles. So now, unless you're near an industrial strength magnet, you can rest assured knowing nothing will interfere with your watch. One of the best things about the big face watches, especially if you're a runner, is the 1/1000-second stopwatch. That's the sort of accuracy they use for the Olympics, or the Tour de France. But not only that, this stopwatch can also measure the speed you were running at, which is an invaluable training tool.
To make sure your watch stays looking newer for longer, the band is made out of Resin. It is a very scratch resistant elastic/plastic hybrid, and is also complemented by the display, which is a scratch-resistant mineral glass.
If you like going to the pool, and don't want to worry about leaving the watch where somebody can steal it, simply take it with you. The 200m water resistance means it's pretty much safe, just be careful about pressing the buttons while submerged.Read more
