This book considers the way in which ordinary Catholics, faced with so much pressure, ambiguity and conjecture, often struggle to navigate a course through the chaotic melting-pot which characterises modern life and might, on some occasions, question or even deny the Churchs determination to interfere in their personal and private lives.
P>About the Author: Michael Tierney was born in Hartlepool in 1949 into a conservative Catholic family. He trained to be a teacher at Trinity & All Saints Colleges and Leeds University and taught in Catholic primary schools in Birmingham for 38 years, 27 of these as a headteacher. From 1985 until 2019, he was involved in marriage preparation in his local parish.
