Remaining loyal to its mission to offer the best portable manual grinder for true coffee enthusiasts and specialty coffee lovers, the Comandante refines the existing features of its world-renowned hand grinder and makes its new offering even more durable, reliable, and lightweight.

Refined Structure Like the others before it, the Commandante C40 MK4 Nitro Blade Coffee Grinder is a solidly built grinder made entirely of stainless steel components. Outside, the MK4 retains the handsome design of its predecessors including the iconic Comandante logo pressed seamlessly onto the body, powder-coated finish or real Oakwood, along with the handle on the crank. Inside, however, the Comandante MK4 features an improved structure that completely prevents the retention of the coffee beans in the chamber -- a refinement that helps reduce waste and at the same time increases the efficiency of your workflow.

This is a step up from the MK3 which is known to sometimes trap a bean or two within. Nitro Blade At the heart of the MK4 manual grinder is its expertly engineered and incredibly durable Nitro Blade burr which is made with high-alloy and high-nitrogen stainless steel. Paired with the Commandante click system, the Nitro Blade can be relied upon for superb grind performance for every brewing method. Lighter weight and accessories Compared with the MK3, the Comandante MK4 is lighter at just a bit over 600 grams without losing any of its functionalities or robust build.

The MK4 now also comes with two bean jars for storing coffee beans and for catching the ground coffee: an amber bean jar made of glass which is perfect for home use, and a lightweight BPA-free polymer clear bean jar to reduce the heft of the grinder while travelling. Both bean jars have the capacity for around 40 grams of beans and are easy to clean even when on the go.

Nitro Blade Burr - Comandante’s patented Nitro Blade burr offers a razor-sharp performance that yields a refined coffee grind with consistency.

Click system - Complimenting the Nitro Blade with the brand’s click system which offers precise grind settings for the perfect coffee each time.

Solid build - The MK4’s body, axle, crank, and ball bearing are all made with stainless steel. Outside, the grinder features either laminated wood or powder-coated finish stamped with the iconic Comandante logo.

More travel-friendly - In addition to the glass bean jar that comes with every Comandante grinder, the MK4 (which weighs only 600 grams!) now has an unbreakable and lightweight polymer bean jar that can be used when travelling.
