FAQs

Will my sheets fit with this mattress topper?

It's on a case-by-case basis. If your mattress is already 40cm in depth and you add the mattress topper we highly recommend buying a mega queen fitted sheet which has a depth 50cm. This will cater to those who have a 40cm deep mattress and need the extra depth for the fitted sheet.

The reason to go for the extra depth is so that you can get the fitted part of the sheet under the mattress. The seams should line up perfectly allowing you to smooth the top of the sheet out. We never recommend using a size-up fitted sheet on a smaller size mattress as the seams won't line up making them fit loosely.

If my mattress is already 50cm in depth will my sheets fit over the mattress topper?

You will be adding extra depth to your mattress approx 8cm.

If your mattress is already 50cm deep and you add this topper you would need a 60cm deep fitted sheet for example.

Does the mattress topper retain the heat or are they cooling?

These toppers do not cool. They have a high-quality cotton japara cover to help them breathe however the filling is a high-grade microfibre which can tend to create heat for some. However, the experience with the product differs for different people. We recommend using natural fibre sheets and bedding to help allow your skin to breathe to wick moisture away from the body so you don't overheat. Any synthetics on top of your body will just trap the heat in and you will sweat.

Can the mattress topper be put in the washing machine and dryer?

You would wash the mattress topper the same way you would launder a quilt that can be machine washed. However, they're very thick and you may need a commercial size machine or large washing machine to wash. You can warm tumble dry the mattress topper.

Can you have an electric blanket under the mattress topper?

We recommend that you use your electric blanket on top of your mattress topper. If you put it under the mattress topper, it might not pose a risk but it certainly won't transfer heat nearly as well as you would like.

If you prefer warmth over comfort then using the electric blanket over the topper is perfectly fine however it may affect how the topper feels as it is adding another layer.

Please remember you should not sleep with an electric blanket on and it should only be used to heat the bed up before sleep.

Return and exchange policy

We abide by ACCC 1 year warranty if the product is faulty or doesn't meet the customers expectation for that time period however this warranty excludes wear and tear/damage to the product by the consumer.

Our returns policy is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law because we want you to be happy with your purchase. Please read the following carefully to ensure you are fully aware of your rights under this policy and our obligations to you.

Returns Policy
Manchester Factory does not accept change of mind returns.

Exchanges Online
Manchester Factory is more than happy to exchange your goods. To ensure the exchange goes smoothly please contact us via the MyDeal messaging portal so that we can step you through the process and also to provide you with an RA number to place on your returns and exchange form.

All unwanted items must be returned in their original condition, unused and unwashed. This means all packaging and labels must be attached. Packaging has to be in original condition (no rips or tears to the plastic/cardboard inserts). Failure to comply with this will result in the goods being returned to you and no refund will be provided.

However if the item is returned to us for an exchange in a poor condition or if we get an item back and it is not to these conditions then we will not be able to honor the exchange.

You are responsible for the associated costs to return the goods back to us, we do recommend that you use the registered post option as Manchester Factory will not take responsibility for items not received if you attempt to send them via non registered mail. Please allow up to 14 days for exchanges and refunds to be received and processed.

Postage charges on returns are not refundable.

Due to OH&S Regulations items such as Pillows, Quilts, Mattress Protectors, Mattress Toppers, Blankets, Under blankets & Bath Robes can’t be exchanged.

Steps for exchange:
1. Place and pay for a new order on the MyDeal marketplace to secure the size/items you are exchanging. This way you are guaranteed to get the item before it gets sold and we can ship it out to you immediately.
2. Send back the items you are exchanging with the exchange/return form filling it in with the RA number provided.
3. When we receive your returned items we will inspect them and process a refund for them if they comply with our conditions above.

Online Order Cancellations
If you have submitted an order and received a confirmation email from Manchester Factory and you wish to cancel your order please contact us via the MyDeal messaging portal. If a cancellation message is not received by 8.30am on the day of dispatch order may not be cancelled.

Faulty Goods?
Every order is inspected by our QA Department before it leaves our Warehouse, this is to ensure you receive product in good condition. If your product for some reason has become faulty due to a manufacturing fault then you need to contact us via the MyDeal marketplace messaging portal.

If there is a manufacture fault or the goods are damaged we will refund the purchase price of the goods and shipping to the purchase payment method.
