Creon is a pancreatic enzyme supplement used in a condition called pancreatic exocrine insufficiency where the body does not make enough enzymes to digest food. This condition appears in several different patients including those with cystic fibrosis, chronic pancreatitis, or patients who have had upper gastrointestinal surgery. People with a deficiency of pancreatic enzymes often suffer with symptoms of diarrhoea, steatorrhea (foul fatty stools which float in the toilet), bloating and weight loss. These symptoms appear because the body is unable to digest food normally. When this happens your body's ability to absorb important nutrients from food is impaired and leads to malnutrition. If left untreated these symptoms can affect your quality of life and a poor nutritional status could have long term health implications. The supplementation of pancreatic enzymes using Creon helps restore the normal digestive action in your body to relieve abdominal symptoms and improve nutritional status.
Each CREON 10,000 capsule contains Pancreatin Extract 150mg equivalent to not less than lipase 10,000 Ph.Eur. units, amylase 8,000 Ph.Eur. units and protease 600 Ph. Eur. units.
Inactive ingredients in CREON 10,000 capsules are: macrogol 4000, hypromellose phthalate, cetyl alcohol, triethyl citrate, dimeticone 1000, gelatin, iron oxide red, iron oxide black, iron oxide yellow, titanium dioxide and sodium lauryl sulfate.
Follow all directions given to you by your doctor carefully.
Drink plenty of water every day when you are taking Creon capsules.
Store in a cool dry place where the temperature stays below 25°C. Please note that in warmer climates it may be necessary to store Creon capsules in the refrigerator. After opening use within 6 months.
Always read the label and follow the directions for use. Please read leaflet included in packaging before you start taking Creon. If symptoms persist see your doctor or healthcare professional.
Vitamin and mineral supplements are not a replacement for a healthy diet. Vitamins and minerals can only be of assistance if dietary intake is inadequate.
Do not take Creon capsules if you are allergic to pork, other pig products or any of the ingredients listed at the end of this leaflet.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, are breast feeding or intend to breast feed. Your doctor will discuss whether you should take these products.
Tell your doctor if you are taking any other medicines, including any that you buy without a prescription.
You should avoid taking antacids, which are medicines that are used to treat heartburn and indigestion, when taking Creon capsules. Antacids may affect how well Creon capsules work by breaking down the special coating used to protect the pancreatic enzymes. If it is necessary to take an antacid, then it should be taken at least one hour before you take your Creon capsules.
Make sure you tell your doctor if you are still having problems with fatty stools or abdominal pain while you are taking Creon capsules.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible if you do not feel well while you are taking Creon capsules.
Creon capsules help most people whose bodies do not make enough enzymes to digest their food, but it may have unwanted side effects in a few people. All medicines can have side effects. Sometimes they are serious, most of the time they are not. You may need medical treatment if you get some of the side effects.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist to answer any questions you may have.
Tell your doctor if you notice any of the following and they worry you:
Stomach or bowel problems, including:
Skin reactions.
Tell your doctor immediately if you have severe or prolonged abdominal pain.
Tell your doctor if you notice any other symptom while you are taking Creon capsules.
In rare cases, people taking very high doses have tended to develop high levels of uric acid in their blood and urine.
If you take too much Creon you may get irritation or inflammation in the anal region.
Do not be alarmed by this list of possible side effects. You may not experience any of them.
The active ingredient in Creon capsules is an extract of pancreatic powder of porcine origin (pigs), therefore the presence of porcine parvovirus or other porcine viruses cannot be totally excluded. However, there is no evidence of transmission of these viruses to humans or of porcine pancreatic powder extracts causing illness in humans.

If you have changed your mind about a product purchased from Healthylife, we will provide a refund at our discretion, provided that the product:
Is flagged with us for return, with valid proof of purchase, within 30 days of purchase.

Has not been used and, if a perishable product, is not expired or within 2 days of expiry.
In certain circumstances, you may be required to provide further information such as photo identification. Information collected in this manner will be stored securely in accordance with the Woolworths Group Privacy Policy. Healthylife reserves the right to refuse a refund for unverified purchases.
Return shipping is at the customer's expense for Change of Mind returns.
This policy is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
We will not provide a refund if you have simply changed your mind about any of the following products purchased from Healthylife (unless the product is faulty or Australian Consumer Law applies):

Perfumes and colognes
Refrigerated items
Bulk or special orders

If you have purchased additional items that you no longer want, we encourage you to share them with those in need, particularly the elderly, disabled, and most vulnerable in our community.
Contact customer care to notify us of your return request. Provide a photo of the item packaged in its box and your original order number. Our team will validate that the item qualifies for a change of mind refund.
Package the item(s) safely into a box. You must quote your original order reference inside the box or highlight it on the outside for identification. Take a photo of the item in the box (this will be needed later).
Post the item back to us via Registered Post at your nearest Australia Post office to the return address provided by the customer care team. The return address may differ depending on your location. Do not forget to provide the tracking number to our customer care team, as we need this to finalise your return.
Once our customer care team validates the return conditions and the item is processed by Australia Post, we will process your refund. Refunds will be made using the original payment method stated on your proof of purchase and may take up to 5 working days to be processed.
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with a service, you are entitled to:
Cancel your service contract with us.
A refund for the unused portion or compensation for its reduced value.
If you receive an item that is faulty, we will happily:
Refund the purchase price of the faulty product(s).
Replace the product(s) with the same value as the original purchased item(s).

A description of the fault and the product(s) to be returned.
A photo of the faulty product(s).
Our team will assess the fault, and once validated, we will provide a Returns Prepaid Label to post the goods back to our warehouse at our cost, including a return tracking number.
Pack your item safely in a box and take it to the nearest Australia Post office to post the item(s) using the returns label provided. If you cannot print the labels, Australia Post staff can print them for you at the time of posting.
Once the return parcel is processed by Australia Post, our team will process your refund, which should be reimbursed within 5 working days via the same payment method used for the order.
Returns must be accompanied by a receipt or other verifiable proof of purchase, such as:

Tax invoice
