Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) is a means of measuring the severity of a building�s potential exposure to ember attack, radiant heat and direct flame contact.

Cyclone Primeview insect screen can also be used on a building that has been rated up to BAL-40 as it meets the following requirements:

• Made of non-combustible material
• Made of stainless steel
• Aperture size is less than 2 x 2mm (1.25 x 1.25m)

On a BAL-40 rated building, the screen assembly can only be fixed with metal fixings, so the installer can not use the rubber spline to fix the screen for BAL-40.
