Yama (yar-ma) means ‘to give’ or ‘to share’.

The spirit of giving and sharing, comes to life in our Yama Cured Premium Tisane. This blend offers a refreshing cleanse, boasting a delicate balance of sweet, green leafy tones, with a hint of Umami.

We harvest Yama Gurạdji leaves from natural groves beneath tree canopies, where shaded environments promote increased chlorophyll and amino acids like theanine, resulting in a deeper green hue and fuller flavour.

After harvest, we commence our specialised 4-hour hand-curing process. We start with steaming the leaves to preserve their antioxidants, followed by a drying process involving hand rolling the leaves to break down the fibres, releasing natural sugars. The process is finished with lightly roasting the Yama Gurạdji leaves to dry and enhance their flavour.

Ingredients: Guradji Yama Cured Premium Tisane

Traditional Use: Renowned for its potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, Gurạdji (pronounced ger-ra-je) stands as a celebrated superfood among the Gurungai people, traditionally used for thousands of years to heal ailments, cleanse the body and bring clarity to the mind.

Contemporary Use: Guradji's versatility makes it a valuable addition to modern diets. Enjoy it as a soothing tisane, a refreshing sun tea, or brew it into a probiotic soda known as Gurbuchi. With its high tannins and polyphenols, Guradji offers versatile culinary options, adding dietary fibre and gut health benefits to salads, smoothies, and more.

Directions: Brew Guradji Yama Cured Premium Tisane by heating water to around 85 degrees Celsius and steeping 2.5 grams per 250 ml of water for 5 minutes. For a stronger brew, increase the amount and steeping time accordingly.

To create a sun tea place 10 grams of Guradji Yama Cured Premium Tisane in a 1-litre clear glass jug of water and leave it in the sun for 4 hours and stir occasionally.

Gurạdji can be drunk hot or cold and makes for a fantastic sugar free iced tea.
