Full but nuanced Chardonnay from Western Australia's Howard Park, specifically from their terroir-focused Flint Rock range from the Great Southern's mountain regions. Some time on lees and French Oak fermentation give a classic butteriness that balances the wine's zippy acidity and mineral character.
From the Winemaker
Subtle oak, white peach and lime blossom intermingle with saline notes, reflecting the wine's Great Southern origins. Pink Lady apple, grapefruit and Meyer lemon drive the palate with savoury elements of salted cashew and nutmeal providing complexity and depth. The judicious use of French oak and lees stirring provide a creaminess and weight balanced by crisp acidity and granite minerality typical of our Mount Barrow vineyard.
