2008 collection from the musician best known as producer and engineer to The Beatles, Pink Floyd and others. A legend in the industry and a performer of a number of hits in his own right. 'Don't Let it Die' was a massive hit and won him an Ivor Novello award, this after The Beatles may or may not have turned it down because it was a little too complicated for Ringo to sing. His style was varied from the vaudeville of his youth to more contemporary influences of the late '60s and early '70s. This compilation brings together his first two albums Don't Let it Die and Hurricane Smith and includes the singles 'Don't Let it Die', 'Oh Babe What Would You Say?', 'Who Was It?' and 'My Mother Was Her Name'. Hurricane Smith will obviously be of interest to Beatles and Pink Floyd fans but he has a large cult following of his own and these albums have not been available on CD outside Japan. 7Ts.
