From the Distiller
First whisky brand in the world with Japanese Sakura Tree and Cedar cask finish. As well as "First triple cask finish whisky in the world, first matured in Oak and aged a second time in Cedar and later in Sakura casks.
On the nose, it brings ripe banana, candied chestnuts, cinnamon and hints of pine. As you continue to sniff, there's a distinct warming woodiness that reminds one of a forest. These combine with a centre palate of woodiness, sandalwood and gentle spice, before sweet cherries cut through the more savoury notes, leading to a floral, spring-like finish.
About the Distillery
Our distillery, Kamiki Shuzou Co., is situated in the serene Soni Village of Nara, a region rich with the early history of Japan.
Soni Village, upon which our distillery is proudly established, is renowned as a starting point of the Yamato Kingdom which is considered as the cradle of Japan. Amid Nara's historic landmarks, we find our place, continuing time-honoured traditions.
