400M ROLL OF JONO & JOHNO POLY TAPE

This 400m roll of Jono & Johno polytape is ideal for temporary fencing and controlled grazing.

The tape is constructed with six strands of stainless steel wire, each measuring 0.20mm.

High visibility colours so animals are less likely to make accidental contact.

The tape is tightly wound and UV treated to stop it from disintegrating in the sun.

Polytape is a more visible option for your electric fencing. The polytape is wider and can be seen more clearly by both animals and humans. Since it is wider it can wear quicker due to wind than Polywire. Polytape is also more suitable for animals that may harm themselves on wire fences.

Polywire is thinner and slightly more conductive than polytape. It is also more resistant to wind but less visible to humans and animals.

The ohms is defined as a resistance between two points of a conductor when a constant potential difference of 1 volt, applied to these points, produces in the conductor a current of 1 ampere, the conductor not being the seat of any electromotive force.

Sound like double dutch?

All you really need to know is the lower the OHMS the less resistance there is in the wires. The less resistance there is the more electricity can flow through your fence. This results in the fence being able to deliver its charge over a longer distance. A low OHMS value also means the fence will cope better with breakages and power leakage.

Regularly check your fence to ensure there are no fallen posts. You also need to check that there is no long grass, branches or debris leaning against the fence and making contact with the ground. This can drain the charge from the fence and reduce its effectiveness.
