PRO1188A IR Distribution over coax kit

This kit allows IR signals to be inserted onto a coax cable in one location and extracted from coax on another location.

We are all familiar with infra-red remote controls because we use them to operate our TV, DVD players etc. on adaily basis. However, you might not be familiar with "IR repeating." IR repeating allows you to control devices that are not with in the direct line of sight of your remote control. This kind of a system is commonly used in distributed audio/ video systems where the source components are centrally located, or when you wish to control your source devices remotely from an entirely different location.

Kit contents

IR injector
- Passes the TV signal from input to output
- Injects the signal from the infrared receiver to the side of the injector that goes "upstream" to the coupler

FAQs

Does the IR target work with plasmas?
Some plasmas are better shielded than others. In the one instance that we've tested the IR targets, it has worked without any issue.

How come you need to buy "special" IR passing splitters when using this product?
The special thing about IR passing splitters (eg ChannelPlus branded splitters) is that they allow voltage to pass in both directions. Standard splitters, with their internal diode, only allow voltage to pass up the splitter. Since IR systems require this voltage to also be passed down the splitter also, you how to ensure that you choose the correct model.

Does Pro1188A works with Foxtel IQ 4k?
It works, but if not, you may need to use to cover the IR emitter to avoid the interference on the foxtel IQ4. It is located about 3cm on the left of the Bluetooth logo.

How many receivers can use in this system?
It is suggested to use a maximum of 4 receivers in this system, which has been tested fine in the manufactory. You can try to use more of the receivers, however, it will generate more noises in the system which could affect the performance of the system, you also need to increase the power supply current.

No PO Boxes or Parcel Lockers

We typically dispatch our goods same day or next day. From there, you can expect 2 - 8 business days Australia wide. Most capital cities can expect 1-2 day delivery times.
Any RTS (Return to Sender) orders due to missing or incorrect address information entered by the buyer may incur an additional charge for redelivery.

RETURNS POLICY

To return goods we have delivered to you, please contact us within 30 days from the date you have received the item. A staff member will then assist you with any return or repair. This may include inspecting the goods, arranging for the goods to be sent for repair, or providing you with a replacement.

Incorrectly Ordered/Change Of Mind:

Refunds are not normally provided where you have simply changed your mind or found the goods cheaper elsewhere. However, if goods have been incorrectly ordered, at our discretion, customers may be credited less a restocking fee.

A change of mind return will only be accepted if:

The item is in a brand new, sealed and resaleable condition
We are contacted within 30 days of the item being received
The item is returned to us in a timely manner

Please note: For change of mind returns, the shipping cost and method is the customer's responsibility. We will not compensate any returns that are lost or damaged in transit to us. For some change of mind returns, a restocking fee may apply.

Faulty Items

We recommend you immediately inspect any goods that we deliver to you or that you collect from our store to ensure you are completely satisfied with the goods. If any goods arrive damaged, please contact us as soon as possible. We will arrange to have the damaged goods returned and either arrange for a replacement of the goods or refund. Replacements and refunds of new products that are damaged on delivery or faulty from new requires a proof of purchase of the product and be returned with all original packaging, accessories and/or manuals included. Refunds will be made via the method of payment you used to make your purchase. If we consider the goods to have breached a consumer guarantee, any shipping costs to return the goods to us will be at our cost and compensated.

Repairs

The product must be returned with proof of purchase, it must not be modified or mistreated in any way and it must not have been serviced elsewhere. Goods returned for repair will be assessed and/or repaired within a reasonable time. You may be required to pay labour, assessment and/or freight fees, such as where goods are assessed to have been damaged by misuse or accident. We may provide you with an approximate fee; this may vary due to reasons beyond our control. In some circumstances, goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods.
